Now to access that area it must be before leaving zero gravity outside by the lasers. I ask simply, do you ever remember being on the bottom floor of the very first encounter by that elevator? No. You do not end up there later in the game. No it is not somewhere you've been before or after the lasers or at all. If you enter the room after you clear the initial nechromorphs and look below the overpass there is a tiny alleyway you can see a save point. That area I speak of specifically that you are replying to is after you go up the elevator. It's a very hidden room because it's not an achievement in the game to bother with but I feel like it should be. I'm gonna figure this out and as soon as I do it'll give everyone a reason to go back and try it. Otherwise you get checkpointed to that area and can't go back because the door gets locked behind you.
It is an area that is accessible but only if you go there before you get to that room.
Once you see them get to the next area they take an elevator up slightly to the next floor, and directly ahead of them if they look down there is a door that is available to open with fire tanks at the floor.
Any doubters can look up guides about this area (chapter 11). I've only done it once probably about when the game came out which was quite awhile ago. Or in just in the wrong section in general trying to find the wall to blow up. I cant remember if it's on the left side of this pic by the boulder in the back or if it's on the right side of the pic outside of the image.
